Role Description The Technical Author role is a full time position based in Bengaluru.

The Technical

Author will create, update, and maintain technical documentation, including manuals and guides for aerospace, defense, and other engineering domains.

Responsibilities include gathering information from subject matter experts, interpreting technical data, and translating complex concepts into clear, user-friendly content. The role involves structuring documents according to industry standards, ensuring consistency and accuracy, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to verify technical details.

Author will also review and revise existing documentation, support continuous improvement of documentation processes, and adhere to internal quality and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/AME, Technical Communication, or a related field; prior experience in technical authoring for aerospace or similar industries is an advantage.
- Commitment to quality, adherence to documentation standards, and willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and processes.
- Familiarity with aerospace or engineering domains, and the ability to understand technical drawings, specifications, and procedures.
- Comfort using documentation tools, content management systems, and authoring software (e.g., XML-based tools, Adobe or similar platforms)
- Strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams
