Inviting Applications for SW Architect and Full Stack Developer NIST Product Realization Center (NPRC) at NIST University, Institute Park, Berhampur, Odisha

Responsibilities: The candidate is expected to take full responsibility of the software architecture, design and development lifecycle. The initial focus will be ERM products starting from requirement analysis, design, coding, and testing (unit, system and integration test) in order to release of generally available (GA) enterprise grade software for the user community, typically for the academics institutes. Person shall be responsible for maintaining existing ERM software and its upgradation/enhancement including modules supporting attendance, examination, accounting, inventory and academic operation etc.

It requires design and development of software including front end GUI, core modules, backend database using SQL and tools/techniques for version control of the software. The person must be well acquainted with development of apps for user to use it from handheld devices like phone, tablet etc. Person shall closely collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address requirements to develop various feature/functionality and ensure user validation/certification.

The person must be experienced with architecture and design of enterprise grade software with expertise in micro-service architecture, Kubernetes, cloud based application development, latest tool and techniques for software development and use of open source systems. Must have experience in UI, database system and API for SB/NB systems. Must be self-driven, apt to work in a cooperative environment with time bound product delivery.

Key Responsibilities Include





- Software Design and Development: The person should have proficiency in software development using languages like JavaScript, Java, and Python etc. Knowledge on agile software development methodology, use of micro service architecture and Kubernetes are preferred. Must have good knowledge in implementation of user profile base access control and security. Implement security measures and data protection to safeguard sensitive information and ensure compliance. Person should have knowledge on app development using android and iOS.

- Backend DB and API: The person should have proficiency with relational database like MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle and use of stored procedure and triggers etc. Must be able to design tables, optimize and maintain database structures, queries, and procedures to ensure high performance, data integrity and security. Knowledge in NoSQL and object oriented DB is a plus. Must be familiar with use of API and protocols.

- GUI Design and Development: The person shall be able to develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, Python, JavaScript, JavaFX, with an objective to enhance/improve the user experience. Knowledge on GUI library is preferred.





Qualification And Experience The candidate preferably be with engineering or related background with broad experience and knowledge with entire life cycle of software development, version control, upgrade and maintenance.

- Proven expertise and experience in architecture and design of enterprise grade software.
- Proven proficiencies as a full stack software development with programming skill in JavaScript, Java, Python, and PHP etc.
- Expertise in database systems like Postgres, MySQL and SQL server. Working knowledge in Hadoop is Plus.
- Familiarity with front-end libraries and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue is required.

Experience in GUI design using JavaFX, JavaScript, Python, and Swift is desired.

- Experience with version control tools/systems such as GIT.
