Thebabybo is a fast-growing baby and kids retail brand offering a curated range of products across categories such as apparel, toys, feeding, nursery, and essentials — through both an offline flagship store and an online marketplace. We're building a retail experience that combines the trust and range of large-format baby stores with a strong local, franchise-driven presence.

Role Summary The Store Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end operations of Thebabybo's flagship store — driving sales, ensuring an exceptional customer experience, managing inventory and merchandising, and leading the in-store team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on retail leader who can balance day-to-day store execution with the targets and standards expected of a growing organized-retail brand.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Performance

- Own the store's monthly and annual sales targets; drive footfall-to-conversion and average bill value (ABV)
- Track daily/weekly sales performance and implement corrective action plans to bridge gaps
- Drive upselling and cross-selling across categories (apparel, toys, feeding, nursery, essentials)
- Plan and execute in-store promotions, seasonal sales, and festive activations in coordination with the marketing team

Customer Experience

- Ensure every customer receives a warm, knowledgeable, and consultative shopping experience — especially given the sensitive nature of baby and parenting purchases
- Handle customer escalations, exchanges, and returns as per company policy
- Build repeat customer relationships and drive loyalty program enrolments
- Maintain high standards of store ambience, cleanliness, and child-safety across the shop floor

Inventory & Merchandising

- Manage stock levels, conduct regular stock audits, and minimize shrinkage




- Coordinate with the central procurement/warehouse team for timely replenishment and new launches
- Implement visual merchandising (VM) guidelines to ensure the store reflects brand standards
- Monitor slow-moving and dead stock, and recommend markdowns or return-to-vendor actions

Store Operations & Compliance

- Oversee daily store opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and POS reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (licenses, safety norms, labour compliance)
- Maintain accurate MIS/reports on sales, footfall, inventory, and staff performance for management review

Reporting

- Submit daily sales reports (DSR), weekly performance reviews, and monthly business reports to management
- Provide market and competitor insights (pricing, new launches, promotions) from the local catchment area

Required Skills & Competencies

- Solid retail sales and customer service orientation
- Team leadership and people management skills
- Working knowledge of POS systems, billing software, and basic inventory management tools
- Good communication skills in English, Hindi, and Gujarati
- Ability to multitask and stay composed during high footfall periods (weekends, festive season)
- Strong ownership mindset and problem-solving ability

Qualifications & Experience

- Graduate in any discipline (Retail Management / Business Administration preferred)
- 0–1 year of retail experience, freshers are preferred
- Prior experience in baby care, kids' fashion, FMCG, or organized retail (e.g., FirstCry, Shoppers Stop, Lifestyle, Reliance Trends, Max) strongly preferred
- Comfortable working on weekends/holidays with a one day week-off
