Role Description The Steam Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Indore, responsible for advising industrial clients on steam generation, distribution, and utilization to optimize efficiency, safety, and reliability. Day-to-day tasks include assessing existing steam systems, conducting site surveys, analyzing process requirements, and recommending suitable boilers, ancillary equipment, and system configurations. The role involves preparing technical proposals, performing basic energy and cost-benefit analyses, and supporting the design and selection of steam-related equipment in coordination with engineering and sales teams.

Consultant will collaborate with operations teams during installation and commissioning, provide technical training to client personnel, and support troubleshooting, performance optimization, and retrofit projects. The position also requires maintaining accurate documentation, adhering to relevant standards and regulations, and representing the company professionally in customer meetings and reviews.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust knowledge of steam systems, boilers, and thermal engineering, including fundamentals of heat transfer, combustion, and steam distribution.
- Candidates should possess skills in system assessment and analysis, such as energy auditing, performance evaluation, and identifying efficiency improvement opportunities.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with industrial safety practices, relevant standards and codes, and basic environmental and pollution control requirements related to steam and thermal systems.
- Candidates should possess abilities in technical documentation and communication, including preparing proposals, reports, technical presentations, and clear guidance for client and internal teams.
- Candidates should possess client-facing and collaboration skills, including stakeholder management, problem-solving, and the ability to work closely with sales, design, and service teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred, along with experience in boilers, utilities, or process industries.
- Comfort with on-site work at industrial facilities, willingness to travel for client visits
