About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Static Engineer / Sr. Static Engineer to join our Mechanical Design team in Chennai. In this role, you will lead design & detail engineering for static equipment, handle preliminary estimations, prepare technical specifications, and interface directly with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design & Detail Engineering: Perform design and detail engineering of steel tanks and pressure vessels in accordance with ASME Sec VIII, API 650, API 620, AWWA D100, UL-142, UL-58, and Shell DEP.
- Proposal & Cost Estimation: Execute preliminary design of static equipment to support accurate costing during proposals.
- Documentation & Technical Deliverables: Prepare mechanical data sheets, mechanical calculations, purchase requisitions (plates and static equipment components), and MTOs.
- Drafting & Fabrication Review: Guide designers in drafting fabrication drawings,



review detail drawings, and clarify technical queries.
- Standards & Compliance: Deploy QMS, ASME U Stamp procedures, and ensure full compliance with OSHAS/HSE guidelines.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with ASME Authorized Inspectors, clients, consultants, and internal project disciplines.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Experience: 6+ years of relevant experience in static equipment design & engineering.
- Mandatory Technical Skills:
- FEA & ANSYS Analysis (Mandatory)
- PV Elite & Nozzle Pro proficiency
- International Codes & Standards: ASME Sec II, Sec VIII, Sec IX, API 650, API 620, AWWA D100, UL-142, UL-58
- Software Competency: MS Excel (Macros/VB programming is a plus) and familiarity with AutoCAD.
- Soft Skills: Robust leadership, communication, time management, and inter-departmental coordination skills.
