Role Description The Sr. Plumbing & Firefighting Design Engineer/Team Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida. This role involves leading plumbing and firefighting design for building projects, including concept development, detailed design, and coordination with other engineering disciplines.
The position includes reviewing drawings and specifications, performing calculations, ensuring designs comply with relevant codes and standards, and guiding junior engineers and designers. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with project managers and clients, resolving technical issues, supporting site teams during construction, and contributing to quality control and value engineering.
The Team
Lead also participates in project planning, resource allocation,
and continuous improvement of design standards and processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong technical skills in plumbing system design, including sizing, layout, and integration with MEP services.
- Candidates should possess skills related to piping systems, including selection of materials, routing, and coordination with fire protection and utility networks.
- Candidates should possess experience in maintenance and repair practices, with the ability to design systems that support reliability, serviceability, and lifecycle performance.
- Candidates should possess a focus on maintenance planning and operational considerations to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable building services.
- Candidates should possess customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients, address technical queries, and support collaborative project delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; advanced certifications in fire protection or plumbing design are an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience (typically 7+ years) in plumbing and firefighting design for commercial, institutional, or industrial projects.
- Proficiency in relevant design and modeling tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit/BIM), and familiarity with applicable codes and standards.
- Proven team leadership capabilities, including mentoring, workload management, and coordination with multidisciplinary project teams.
