About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Paraplanner with robust knowledge of the Australian financial planning industry. The successful candidate will work closely with Australian financial advisers and be responsible for preparing high-quality, compliant advice documents and completing complex financial planning research and modelling.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality Statements of Advice (SoA), Records of Advice (RoA) and review documents
- Handle complex financial planning strategies independently
- Complete strategy research, product research and comparisons
- Prepare retirement, superannuation, pension and cash-flow projections
- Work on SMSF, superannuation, investments, insurance and retirement planning strategies
- Complete Centrelink and contribution-related modelling where required
- Review client files and identify missing information before commencing advice preparation
- Use adviser instructions, fact finds and file notes to develop accurate advice documentation
- Ensure all advice documents meet Australian compliance and quality standards
- Liaise directly with Australian advisers and client service teams regarding advice requirements
- Manage multiple advice files while meeting agreed ETAs and turnaround times
- Review work prepared by junior paraplanners and provide technical guidance
- Assist with training and mentoring junior team members
- Maintain accurate workflow and task records within the CRM/work management system
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of Australian paraplanning experience
- Strong understanding of the Australian financial planning and superannuation environment
- Proven experience preparing complex SoAs and RoAs
- Strong technical knowledge of superannuation, retirement planning, investments, insurance and wealth creation strategies
- Experience with financial planning modelling and research tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal English communication
- Ability to communicate professionally with Australian financial advisers
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities and deadlines

- We are looking for someone who is more than an SoA writer. The ideal Senior Paraplanner can understand the adviser’s strategy, identify potential gaps, complete complex modelling, maintain compliance standards and deliver advice documents with minimal supervision.
