The Global Supply Organization is a multi-continental Function that comprises of the entire Value Chain from product conceptualization to delivery to the commercial front. Within the Global Supply Organization are included; Research & Development, Project Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain Management and Logistics.
Role: Senior Executive - Procurement
Designation: Senior Executive
Base location: Pawane, Navi Mumbai, India
Reporting To: Manager - Procurement
What you become a part of:
Sr. Executive - Procurement will be responsible to manage procurement activities,
coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensure timely material availability, maintain inventory control, and support quality, audit, and regulatory compliance requirements.
What to expect:
Procurement & Material Management
- Handle global procurement of RM (Raw Materials), APIs, and excipients as per GMP and organizational requirements.
- Review approved purchase orders and place orders with suppliers.
- Monitor delivery schedules, shipment status, and supplier commitments.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure uninterrupted material availability to prevent production delays.
- Coordinate with warehouse, manufacturing, and business units for timely material delivery.
Vendor Management
- Maintain robust relationships with suppliers and negotiate commercial terms when required.
- Follow up with vendors regarding deliveries, invoices, and order-related issues.
- Resolve supply chain issues through effective coordination and communication.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and maintain procurement-related documentation and records.
- Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs (RA) for procurement-related documentation, RA documents, and RM/BR materials.
- Arrange QA-related documents and support audit requirements.
- Obtain Import Clearance and coordinate with CHA (Custom House Agent) for imported materials.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, quality systems, and internal procurement procedures.
Quality & Investigation Support
- Handle rejected materials and coordinate with warehouse/location teams for necessary actions.
- Arrange debit notes and vendor communications related to rejected materials.
- Follow up on CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) and investigation reports with vendors.
Reporting
- Prepare monthly, weekly, and MIS reports.
- Develop and present monthly procurement and supply chain presentations.
- Track procurement KPIs and provide management updates.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Science, Supply Chain, Commerce, or related discipline.
- Additional certification in Procurement/Supply Chain Management is preferred.
Experience
- 3 to 6 years of experience in Procurement, Purchase, Supply Chain, or Vendor Management.
- Experience in Pharmaceutical, Chemical, API, or Manufacturing industry preferred.
