About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MySQL Developer to join our agile IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, managing, and optimizing our database solutions to ensure high performance, security, and data integrity. In this role, you will work closely with software developers, application teams, and other stakeholders to create efficient database structures, write complex SQL queries, and support various applications with reliable database systems.

Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the health of our data infrastructure, supporting migration and upgrade activities, and implementing best practices for database security and performance.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of MySQL database architecture, administration, and management.
- Proficiency in writing, optimizing, and maintaining complex SQL queries.
- Experience with stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
- Solid understanding of database design principles, normalization,



and indexing strategies.
- Knowledge of database backup, recovery, and maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with performance monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques.
- Understanding of data security protocols and access control mechanisms.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain MySQL databases and related database objects to support business applications.
- Create and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views to ensure efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
- Design and implement database schemas, tables, indexes, and relationships to support application requirements.
- Monitor and enhance database performance through query optimization and indexing strategies.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, security, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Perform routine database backup, recovery, and maintenance activities to prevent data loss and ensure system availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with software developers and application teams to facilitate seamless database integration and support application development lifecycle.
- Support database migration, upgrade, and deployment activities,



ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation of database structures, configurations, and procedures.
- Implement and enforce database security measures and access controls to protect sensitive data.
