SQL DBA / Oracle DBA Administrator Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SQL DBA & Oracle DBA Administrator to manage, monitor, troubleshoot, secure, and optimize enterprise database environments. The role involves ensuring database availability, performance, recoverability, and compliance with operational standards while supporting business-critical systems and delivering reliable database services within SLA expectations.

Key Responsibilities

- Troubleshoot complex database issues accurately and within agreed service levels.
- Administer, maintain, monitor, back up, and recover enterprise database environments with a focus on SQL DBA operations and Oracle DBA support.
- Support and maintain database disaster recovery processes to ensure business continuity and rapid recovery.
- Deploy and manage database environments in accordance with organizational standards and business requirements.
- Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance tuning recommendations.
- Ensure database security standards and integrated security requirements are followed.
- Monitor and report database storage utilization and capacity requirements.
- Develop, review, and support existing T-SQL scripts, queries, and database code.
- Monitor, tune, and manage scheduled jobs, backup processes, recovery activities, and database storage.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve database and application performance issues.
- Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to resolve database-related challenges.




- Prepare regular reports on database performance, stability, and future capacity needs.
- Document, test, and implement database changes and enhancements.
- Participate in operational support activities, including after-hours support when required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and stay current with evolving database technologies.

- SQL DBA
- Oracle DBA

Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and/or related experience.
- 5-8+ years of Database Administration experience.
- Strong hands-on administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and support experience in enterprise database environments.
- Experience with database setup, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, backup and recovery, and security management.
- Experience with database platform upgrades and migrations is an advantage.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing setting.
