About The Role

As a C Programmer at Gainwell Technologies, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining batch processing systems that support our healthcare solutions. Your primary focus will be on the full lifecycle of development activities related to batch jobs, ensuring their efficiency, reliability, and scalability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze system requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements that align with client specifications and industry standards.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background and extensive experience in relevant technical areas. A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems,



or a related field is preferred, along with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience working with C programming, Unix/Linux systems, Oracle SQL, and PL/SQL.

Experience working with healthcare-related domains such as managed care, claims processing, or provider networks is a plus. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in software development lifecycle activities, including coding, debugging, documentation, and testing. Familiarity with batch job automation, query tuning, and performance optimization is essential.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team, coupled with excellent communication skills, is critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and implement batch processing programs using C in Unix/Linux environments, ensuring they meet functional and performance requirements.
- Analyze system specifications and modify existing programs to enhance functionality or address issues.
- Gather system information, analyze program and time requirements, and prepare technical documentation for changes.
- Research and evaluate existing systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Create detailed program specifications for low to moderate complexity projects and enhancements.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving program defects, proposing alternative solutions to improve system reliability.
- Develop comprehensive test plans to validate program logic and performance, identifying and documenting issues as they arise.




- Maintain accurate documentation of code, technical procedures, and system configurations to facilitate future maintenance and audits.
- Conduct peer reviews and participate in quality assurance activities to uphold coding standards and best practices.
- Implement and automate batch job workflows, including notifications and error handling processes.
- Perform complex SQL queries, optimize database interactions, and tune queries for improved performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions aligned with project goals.
