Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Engineer / Sr. Engineer – Sourcing & Vendor Development to manage supplier development, sourcing, costing, and vendor relationships, with a focus on automotive and machining components.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, evaluate, and develop current suppliers/vendors.
Develop and maintain Should Cost Models for manufacturing processes.
Manage sourcing activities for NPD and existing products.
Evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, capability, and delivery.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms with suppliers.
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Analyse market trends and supplier capabilities.
Required Skills & Experience:
Experience in Automotive Sourcing / Purchase / Vendor Development.
Experience in machining-part costing.
Knowledge of DFM, PFMEA, PPAP, and APQP.
Basic knowledge of SPC, MSA, and 7 QC Tools.
Basic knowledge of IATF documentation.
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Good analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to make data-driven sourcing and supplier decisions.
Preferred Candidate:
Candidates with hands-on experience in automotive sourcing, supplier development, machining costing, and supplier quality coordination will be preferred.
