Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Solution Designer / Production Domain Architect specializing in Process Orchestration, Business Process Management (BPM), and Telecom Order Management. The role will be responsible for designing and defining changes to the existing As-Is Order Orchestration and aligning it with the To-Be Order Flow and automation requirements, starting from the BSS layer.

The candidate will work closely with business, product, BSS, architecture, development, and operations teams to assess functional impacts, design new orchestration capabilities, and ensure seamless implementation of changes across the end-to-end order lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture

- Design and define required changes to the As-Is Order Orchestration based on the To-Be order flow and automation requirements.
- Translate business and functional requirements into scalable BPM/process orchestration solutions.
- Define end-to-end order orchestration flows starting from the BSS layer through downstream systems.
- Design new process flows, integrations, business rules, and automation capabilities within the BPM/Velocity platform.
- Ensure solution designs align with enterprise architecture, integration standards, and Telecom BSS principles.

Order Flow & Process Orchestration
- Analyze existing order flows and identify opportunities for process optimization, simplification, and automation.
- Assess the functional and technical impact of proposed changes across the end-to-end order journey.
- Absorb and design new requirements into existing order orchestration processes without disrupting existing functionality.
- Define orchestration logic for order capture, validation, decomposition, fulfillment, provisioning, and completion.
- Identify dependencies across BSS, OSS, CRM, product catalog, inventory, fulfillment, and other downstream systems.
- Support the transition from existing As-Is processes to the defined To-Be architecture.

BPM / Velocity
- Design and enhance business processes using BPM and Velocity-based process orchestration capabilities.




- Define process models, workflows, decision points, exception handling, and automated activities.
- Ensure BPM workflows support high-volume Telecom order processing and operational requirements.
- Analyze existing BPM implementations and recommend improvements for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Support the introduction of new automation into existing orchestration processes.

Impact Assessment
- Perform detailed functional impact assessments for changes to order flows.
- Identify upstream and downstream system impacts, interfaces, dependencies, and potential risks.
- Evaluate the impact of changes on existing products, services, order types, and fulfillment scenarios.
- Identify regression risks and ensure proposed solutions maintain compatibility with existing business processes.
- Provide technical recommendations and mitigation strategies for identified impacts.

Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, BSS/OSS Architects, Developers, QA, and Operations teams.
- Participate in requirements clarification, solution workshops, design reviews, and architecture discussions.
- Explain complex orchestration solutions and dependencies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure solution designs are correctly implemented.
- Provide technical guidance during implementation, testing, deployment, and production rollout.

Production & Operational Support
- Analyze production issues related to BPM and Order Orchestration and provide solution-level recommendations.
- Support root-cause analysis of order failures, stuck orders, workflow issues, and integration problems.
- Design permanent solutions for recurring production issues and process bottlenecks.
- Ensure production changes are implemented with appropriate impact assessment, testing, and rollback considerations.




- Support continuous improvement of production order orchestration processes.

Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in Solution Design, Domain Architecture, BPM, Order Management, or Telecom BSS.
- Strong experience in Telecom BSS Order Management and Order Orchestration.
- Hands-on experience designing end-to-end order flows and business process orchestration.
- Solid understanding of As-Is / To-Be process analysis and solution design.
- Experience with BPM / Business Process Management platforms.
- Experience with Velocity or similar process orchestration technologies.
- Strong understanding of BSS systems and their interaction with downstream OSS/fulfillment systems.
- Experience performing functional impact analysis for changes to complex order flows.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with Telecom BSS/OSS architecture.
- Knowledge of CRM, Product Catalog, Order Management, Service Inventory, Resource Inventory, and Fulfillment systems.
- Knowledge of TM Forum Open APIs / ODA and Telecom industry standards.
- Experience with microservices and API-based architectures.
- Understanding of event-driven architecture and messaging.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Experience supporting production environments and complex enterprise integrations.
- Strong documentation skills with experience creating HLDs, LLDs, process flows, sequence diagrams, and solution architecture documents.
