Responsibilities

- Architect secure, scalable, and reliable solutions aligned to business requirements
- Set and deliver the technology strategy for one or more products alongside stakeholders
- Collaborate with senior technical and product leaders to drive meaningful designs
- Coordinate with global Solution Architecture & Engineering teams to establish principles and best practices
- Align with wider technical and architecture teams to support organizational strategies
- Evaluate solution options using current and emerging technologies and recommend best-fit approaches
- Lead software implementation through microservices-based architecture for fintech applications
- Mentor development teams and reinforce technical excellence and continuous improvement
- Partner with product owners and operations to support seamless software delivery

Requirements

- Significant product engineering experience in scalable solution design, including 5+ years leading architecture decisions
- Deep understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, web applications & services, and microservices architecture
- Proven background designing high-transaction-volume financial systems with global scalability and extreme uptime requirements
- Hands-on proficiency with HTML5, CSS, and front-end frameworks such as React and Angular
- Advanced skills in back-end development using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
- Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL or SQL Server in large-scale implementations
- Experience with cloud-native technologies like PCF, Kubernetes, Azure, or AWS
- Familiarity with Agile environments centered on collaboration and iterative delivery
- Demonstrated capability to mentor teams and build a culture of continuous technical improvement
- Willingness to support hands-on prototype development to address business challenges
- Strong communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have

- Experience with Java, J2EE, RESTful APIs, React, and Angular
- Familiarity with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate
- Understanding of API tooling and design best practices for large-scale systems
- Knowledge of cloud and DevOps architecture, particularly with Azure or AWS
