Social Media Manager | Bangalore
Clevertize is looking for a Social Media Manager who can run the account, not just the calendar. You'll own the brand on social and own the client on the other end of the call - strategy, ideation, delivery, and the relationship that holds it all together.
What you'll actually be doing
1. Owning the client relationship. You're the POC. Weekly calls, monthly reviews, escalations, the awkward conversations. You push back when the feedback is "make the logo bigger," and you know when to take it on the chin instead.
2. Owning the brand on social media. You hold the reins when it comes to social media strategy and ideation. You must be positive with identifying trends before they become one and have the urge to say no to Happy Diwali wish posts which don’t have a place on the instagram grids.
3. Running the account end to end. Scope, timelines, approvals, deliverable tracking. Nothing slips because you're the one holding the list.
4. Building monthly content calendars that don't read like they came out of a template. Ideation, planning, sequencing - Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and whatever else the brand actually needs.
5. Writing creative briefs sharp enough that design and copy want to work on them.
6. Knowing the brand better than the brief does. Product, category, competitors, what the client's CEO said on that podcast. You come to calls with a point of view.
7. Research & referencing:
you're the person who saves the screenshot, bookmarks the thread, and knows what five brands in the category shipped last week.
8. Trend-spotting before the trend has a name. Audio, format, behaviour, sub-culture.
9. Growing the account. Spotting the next brief before the client asks for it.
What you bring to the table Must-haves:
- 2 - 4 years in social media, at least 2 in an agency
- Direct client-facing experience - you've owned a relationship, not just sat in on calls
- Working knowledge of Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube: not just posting, but algorithm behaviour, format nuance, what each platform rewards
- Comfortable writing - briefs, decks, captions, and the email that saves a deadline
Nice-to-haves (and we'll really pay attention to these):
- Influencer / creator campaign experience (briefing, scoping, managing)
- Comfortable shooting and cutting a quick Reel on your phone - CapCut/Edits familiarity
- Performance/paid social exposure
- Multiple accounts run in parallel without dropping either
Why this role is actually fun
- Real ownership. You're the lead on the account, not a cog in a 12-person pod.
- You'll ship constantly. Wins and learnings in days, not quarters.
- Direct line to founders. Your thinking gets heard, not filtered through three layers.
- Category range. You won't be doing the same brand for three years.
