Role Description The Service Associate is a full-time, on-site role based at Villa Maya in Trivandrum. This position is responsible for welcoming guests, guiding them to their tables, presenting menus, and explaining dishes and specials in a clear, courteous manner. Day-to-day tasks include taking and relaying orders accurately, coordinating with kitchen and bar staff, serving food and beverages, and ensuring tables are set, cleaned, and reset to brand standards.

The Service

Associate handles guest inquiries, manages basic billing processes,



and supports reservations and seating arrangements to maintain smooth restaurant operations. The role also involves adhering to hygiene and safety guidelines, assisting with special events, and consistently delivering a refined, personalized service aligned with Villa Maya’s high hospitality standards.

Qualifications

- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation to engage guests professionally and build positive relationships.
- Clear and confident communication skills, including the ability to explain menu items and respond to guest needs effectively.
- Basic analytical skills and finance awareness to handle bills, payments, and simple reconciliations accurately.
- Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality service is preferred, especially in fine dining or upscale environments.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends, and holidays), and thrive in a fast-paced setting.
- Attention to detail, teamwork mindset, and a skilled, polished demeanor aligned with luxury hospitality standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or food service training is an advantage.
