Role Summary

As the Lead Oracle Database Engineer, you will serve as the technical authority driving the architecture, design, and governance of our critical data scrubbing and remediation program. Reporting directly to the Engineering Delivery Manager, you will lead the overall technical strategy to de-identify sensitive data (PII, PCI, PHI) across on-premise and cloud databases while maintaining full business usability and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities Architect the end-to-end database scrubbing, masking, and obfuscation framework across multi-environment Oracle databases.Author and secure stakeholder approvals for comprehensive Technical Design Documents (TDDs), implementation runbooks, and risk mitigation strategies.Establish technical standards and secure coding patterns aligned with enterprise cybersecurity policies and SAST scan requirements.Guide and mentor senior database engineers in script development, performance optimization, and execution protocols.Partner with Solution Architects, Security Leads, and Business Stakeholders to validate that data masking maintains business utility and system integrity.Oversee technical migration activities supporting cloud transitions (Colo Exit)



and lower-environment production data remediations.Required Qualifications8+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database engineering, PL/SQL architecture, and database performance tuning.Proven track record leading technical teams or complex workstreams in data masking, scrubbing, or obfuscation for sensitive data (PII, PCI, PHI).Deep expertise in database security standards, identity/access controls, and Static Application Security Testing(SAST vulnerability remediation.Robust experience crafting high-level and detailed architecture diagrams,Technical Design Documents (TDDs), and execution runbooks.Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to executive leadership, securityboards, and client stakeholders.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience with cloud database platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI) and cloud migration initiatives.Familiarity with insurance, financial services, or healthcare compliance requirements.Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or relevant security/cloud certifications.Experience with enterprise rule engines or identity platforms (e.g., Okta, InRule).
