JD Lead – Advanced Analytics - Customer Intelligence (Mumbai)

We are looking for experienced analytics qualified (12+ years’ experience) to lead a team of Data Scientists as Lead for the Customer Intelligence Unit (CIU)

The role sits within the Advanced Analytics and reports to the Vertical Head – Advance Analytics team at YES Bank Limited, based in Mumbai.

The primary purpose is to set up the bank’s single point of truth for customer behavior insights across Wholesale and Retail businesses. This unit will identify data-driven opportunities that maximize life-cycle profitability, customer experience, and mitigate fraud and attrition risks.

Key responsibilities include

- Mentor and inspire a high-performing team of Data Scientists & Analysts, on methodologies, coding standards, and business interpretation
- Developing predictive models, Architect behavioral segmentation frameworks and event-trigger strategies that power personalized campaigns and lifecycle journeys.
- Collaborate with Product, Campaign, Risk, and Technology stakeholders to define problem statements, generate hypotheses into analytical problems, test hypotheses,



and present actionable insights.
- Uphold AI Policy, Data Privacy, and Responsible AI principles, ensuring complete documentation for audit and regulatory scrutiny.

Key Qualifications

- 10+ years of hands-on experience in advanced analytics / data science, with 5+ years leading teams or large-scale projects.
- Strong command of statistical modelling, machine-learning algorithms, and MLOps practices.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and at least one big-data technology (PySpark, Hadoop, etc.).
- Domain expertise in Banking / Financial Services – wholesale lending, retail liabilities & assets, payments, or fraud analytics preferred.
- Educational background: Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, or similar (Master’s/PhD preferred).
- Proven ability to translate complex analytics into simple business narratives and influence senior stakeholders.
- Excellent project management, communication, and storytelling skills.
