Roles & Responsibilities

1. Design and develop interactive Spotfire dashboards, visualisations, and analytical applications aligned to business requirements
2. Build complex data transformations using Information Links, Data Functions (Python / R / TERR), and calculated columns
3. Develop and maintain Spotfire templates, custom expressions, and reusable components to ensure consistency across reports
4. Integrate Spotfire with enterprise data sources including relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, SAP HANA), data warehouses, and REST/OData APIs
5. Implement advanced analytics features such as predictive modelling, statistical analysis, and real-time data streaming
6. Follow version control best practices and maintain documentation for all developed solutions
7. Define and enforce Spotfire development standards, naming conventions, and best practices across the team
8. Lead architecture design for new analytical applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability
9. Mentor and guide junior developers through code reviews, pair development, and knowledge-sharing sessions
10. Administer the Spotfire Server workplace including user management, deployment, and configuration
11. Monitor platform health, troubleshoot performance issues, and coordinate with IT for patching and upgrades
12. Provide L1/L2/L3 support for Spotfire users; triage, investigate, and resolve incidents in a timely manner
13. Manage the Spotfire library structure, permissions, and governance standards
14. Coordinate with TIBCO / vendor support for escalated technical issues
15. Lead Spotfire platform upgrade planning, regression testing, and deployment across environments

Define and maintain the Spotfire roadmap in alignment with business and IT strategy
17. Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver solutions that meet KPIs
18. Conduct demo sessions, UAT walkthroughs, and training workshops for end users
19. Work closely with data engineering, IT, and governance teams to ensure data quality, security, and compliance
20. Act as a technical advisor to senior leadership, presenting analytical insights, platform health, and roadmap updates
21. Evaluate and recommend new Spotfire features, extensions, and third-party integrations to expand platform capability

Ideal Candidate

1Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and performance tuning

2Mandatory (Experience 1) – Must have minimum 5+ years of hands-on TIBCO Spotfire development experience across Spotfire Analyst, Web Player, Business Author, and Server with proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade solutions.

3Mandatory (Experience 2) – Must have hands-on experience with Spotfire Iron Python scripting for advanced interactivity and automation.

4Mandatory (Experience 3) – Must have familiarity with Spotfire Server administration, licensing, and deployment models including cloud, on-premise,



and hybrid environments.

5Mandatory (Experience 4) – Must have hands-on experience connecting Spotfire to enterprise databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, and SAP HANA.

6Mandatory (Experience 5) – Must have understanding of data modelling concepts, star/snowflake schemas, and dimensional design principles.

7Mandatory (Experience 6) – Must have demonstrated experience leading BI/analytics projects end-to-end from requirements to production delivery.

8Mandatory (Experience 7) – Must have proven ability to mentor junior team members and drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

9Mandatory (Experience 8) - Working knowledge of at least one Data Function language: Python, R, or TERR

10Mandatory (Education) – Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).

11Mandatory (Skill) - Excellent communication skills to present complex analytics to technical and executive audiences

12Preferred (Experience 2) – Experience with other BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.

13Preferred (Experience 3) – Exposure to cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP.

14Preferred (Experience 4) – Knowledge of REST API integration, JSON, and web services.

15Preferred (Experience 5) – Experience in Agile / Scrum delivery environments.

16Preferred (Experience 6) – Familiarity with ETL pipelines and tools such as SSIS, Talend, or Azure Data Factory.

17Preferred (Experience 7) – Understanding of data governance, GDPR, and data security best practices.
