Key responsibilities Develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices and batch workloads (Spring Batch). Build and expose services via REST APIs and/or gRPC; integrate with messaging platforms (Kafka, MQ, SQS). Implement API management and integration patterns using gateways such as Kong or Mule.
Design for reliability observability, performance tuning, fault tolerance, and production support. Containerise applications using Docker and deploy/manage workloads on Kubernetes. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (build, test, security scanning, deploy) using GitHub and pipeline tooling.
Apply secure engineering practices
RBAC, OAuth2/OpenID Connect, authentication/authorization (AuthN/AuthZ). Work with data stores
SQL/NoSQL including PostgreSQL and DynamoDB; design schemas and optimise queries. Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and/or CloudFormation. Collaborate with product owners, architects, SRE/DevOps, and QA to deliver features end-to-end; participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies.
Required skills and experience Strong hands-on development experience with Java (contemporary versions) and Spring Boot.
Experience building microservices and distributed systems. Solid understanding of API design (REST) and/or gRPC.
Experience with messaging/event-driven architectures
Kafka and/or MQ, plus cloud messaging (SQS). Practical experience with AWS (required) and exposure to GCP (preferred). Containerisation and orchestration
Docker and Kubernetes. Build tooling and source control
Maven and GitHub. CI/CD experience and familiarity with automated testing and deployment practices. Security fundamentals
RBAC, OAuth2/OIDC, AuthN/AuthZ concepts. Database experience across PostgreSQL and at least one NoSQL store (e.g., DynamoDB). Infrastructure as Code
Terraform and/or CloudFormation. Qualifications Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Preferred location – Pune Or Hyderabad Candidates working from other locations will not be considered.
