About Your Role This is a technical contractor role within the Enterprise Engineering API Capability team responsible for supporting and modernizing the organizations API ecosystem The successful candidate will work with Engineering Enterprise Architecture and Delivery teams to drive strategic API transformation initiatives support critical business services and help achieve the organizations API modernization objectives The role requires strong technical expertise in API management API gateways and integration technologies with a particular focus on Broadcom Layer7 API Gateway Google Apigee and related API ecosystem components
Responsibilities Support and enhance the enterprise API ecosystem across multiple platforms including Broadcom Layer7 and Apigee Lead and contribute to migration initiatives aimed at transitioning APIs from legacy Layer7 implementations to contemporary API management platforms and architectures Perform API legacy remediation activities including redesign refactoring standardization and modernization of existing services Collaborate with application integration security architecture and platform teams to deliver scalable secure and reusable API solutions Provide advanced technical analysis and troubleshooting support for critical API platform incidents and complex production issues Assist development teams with API design best practices governance standards and onboarding to the enterprise API ecosystem Support automation CI CD integration infrastructure as code and operational excellence initiatives across API platforms Contribute to API platform governance security observability and lifecycle management practices Identify opportunities for platform optimization technical debt reduction and continuous improvement across the API landscape Participate in a global support model and collaborate effectively with geographically distributed teams
