How You'll Help Us Keep Climbing (Overview & Key Responsibilities)
Delta Technology Hub is seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Senior Software Development Engineer to design, develop, support, and scale next-generation applications using AWS cloud-native technologies and modern engineering practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building scalable, resilient, and event-driven solutions leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, Kinesis Streams, DynamoDB, SQS, and EventBridge, while also incorporating AI/ML capabilities to drive innovation and business value.
In this role, you will develop high-performance applications using Node.js, implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK in Python, and contribute to the architecture of secure, highly available, and cost-effective cloud solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust software solutions, champion cloud engineering best practices, and drive technical excellence across the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance cloud-native applications across the full technology stack, delivering clean, scalable, maintainable, and well-documented solutions.
- Architect, prototype, and demonstrate front-end and back-end features to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous optimization of development frameworks, tools, processes, and workflows.
- Partner with solution architects, product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to analyze requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Design end-to-end solutions that satisfy both functional and non-functional requirements, including scalability, performance, reliability, and security.
- Drive application performance optimization, reliability engineering, operational excellence, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Implement secure coding practices, authentication and authorization frameworks, and compliance-driven design patterns.
- Ensure adherence to security, risk, and regulatory requirements by leveraging security and compliance automation, policy-as-code, and controls-as-code principles.
- Own the overall quality posture of applications through automated testing, code reviews, and Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and deployment processes to support rapid and reliable software delivery.
- Configure and manage application services, databases, monitoring solutions, logging platforms, and observability tools.
- Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to improve system availability, resiliency, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Provide production support, participate in on-call rotations, and troubleshoot complex application, infrastructure, and operational issues across development and production environments.
Maintain and enhance existing products and services while collaborating across teams to ensure delivery of high-quality customer experiences.
- Demonstrated experience using AWS AI/ML services such as Amazon SageMaker, Bedrock, and AgentCore.
- Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Kiro) to accomplish tasks such as generating and reviewing code, writing and maintaining tests, creating documentation, and debugging, while exercising sound judgment to validate and take ownership of AI-generated output.
- Understanding of prompt engineering, AI workflows, and/or model integration patterns.
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 4-7 years of software development experience.
- 3+ years developing cloud-native applications.
- 3+ years developing modern Single Page Applications (SPA).
- Experience building, deploying, and supporting production applications in cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience on following technologies:
