About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Senior Shopify Developer with 5–10 years of hands-on experience in Shopify and e-commerce development. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Shopify Plus, Liquid, custom theme development, Shopify APIs, integrations, website performance, and technical SEO.

You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, optimizing, and scaling Shopify websites while working closely with the SEO, design, content, marketing, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

Shopify Development

- Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify and Shopify Plus stores.
- Build and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON.
- Develop custom sections, templates, blocks, landing pages, and reusable components.
- Implement new features and functionality based on business requirements.
- Work on Shopify 2.0 theme architecture and Online Store 2.0 features.
- Manage Shopify apps, plugins, and third-party integrations.
- Develop and maintain custom Shopify apps and functionalities where required.

API & Integration
- Work with Shopify REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Integrate payment gateways, logistics/shipping providers, marketplaces, CRM, ERP, analytics, and other third-party systems.
- Troubleshoot API and integration-related issues.
- Handle webhooks and automated data synchronization.

Website Performance & Optimization
- Improve website speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall performance.
- Identify and resolve technical issues affecting conversion and user experience.
- Optimize JavaScript, CSS, images, apps, and theme code.
- Ensure the website is responsive and optimized across desktop, tablet, and mobile.

SEO & Technical Implementation




- Work closely with the SEO team to implement technical SEO recommendations.
- Manage canonical tags, redirects, meta robots, sitemap, robots.txt, structured data, pagination, hreflang, and URL structures.
- Ensure proper indexability and crawlability of Shopify pages.
- Implement SEO-friendly product, collection, and content templates.
- Support technical SEO audits and resolve issues identified through tools such as Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, and Semrush.

E-commerce & Conversion Optimization
- Implement PDP, PLP, collection, cart, checkout, and navigation improvements.
- Improve website UX and conversion rates through technical enhancements.
- Implement product recommendations, filters, search, merchandising, and promotional functionality.
- Ensure accurate tracking for GA4, Meta Pixel, Google Ads, and other analytics platforms.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Monitor website health and resolve bugs, errors, and functionality issues.
- Troubleshoot checkout, cart, payment, product, collection, and integration issues.
- Manage website releases, updates, backups, and deployments.
- Ensure website stability during high-traffic periods and sale campaigns.

Required Skills
- 5–10 years of professional development experience, with strong Shopify experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Shopify and Shopify Plus.
- Strong proficiency in Shopify Liquid.
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and JSON.
- Experience with Shopify 2.0.
- Knowledge of REST API and GraphQL.




- Experience with Git/GitHub and development workflows.
- Strong understanding of responsive web development.
- Experience with third-party app and API integrations.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce architecture and user experience.
- Good understanding of technical SEO and website performance.
- Experience with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking is preferred.

Preferred Skills
- Experience developing custom Shopify apps.
- Knowledge of Node.js / React.
- Experience with Shopify Plus features such as checkout customization and Shopify Functions.
- Experience with ERP, CRM, payment, logistics, and marketplace integrations.
- Knowledge of CRO and A/B testing.
- Experience working with large-scale D2C/e-commerce brands.
