Founded in 2011 by Joshua Hoskins, a Salesforce MVP and Hall of Famer, CRMified delivers Salesforce design and development expertise to mid-market and enterprise clients. We specialize in systems integration with a strong referral-based business, a US-based principal team and a talented delivery team in India.

CRMified runs on EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) and we're in an intentional growth phase. Alongside our consulting business, we are now building a new product - and this role is the founding engineering seat for that venture.

About This Role

CRMified's CEO is a senior Salesforce technologist with a clear vision for a new product. What he needs is a senior Ruby developer who can be a true thought partner - someone who shapes architecture and product direction with the founder, and then writes the production code to make it real.

This is not a heads-down ticket-execution role and it is not a side gig. It's a full-time, in-seat position for a builder who wants to start a product: high ownership, high ambiguity and a direct line to the founder with no layers in between. You get the upside of building something from zero, backed by the stability of an established, profitable company.

What You'll Own

Product & Technical Direction

- Partner directly with the founder on product strategy, technical decisions, and architecture - you are the technical voice in the room.
- Translate product vision into pragmatic technical plans, challenging assumptions and proposing better paths where you see them.

Building & Shipping

- Design, build, and ship the core product in Ruby on a modern application stack.
- Own the full engineering lifecycle: architecture, development,



deployment (Heroku), and iteration based on real user feedback.
- Set the engineering foundations - code standards, CI/CD, tooling - that future hires will build on.

AI-Accelerated Development

- Apply AI concepts (LLM APIs, agents, retrieval, automation) both inside the product and in your own workflow to accelerate development velocity.
- Advise the founder on where AI genuinely belongs in the product and where it doesn't.

Salesforce Ecosystem Integration

- Design integrations with the Salesforce platform where the product requires it, drawing on your understanding of its data model and APIs.

What You Bring

- 10+ years of software development experience, with deep, hands-on expertise in Ruby (Rails or comparable frameworks).
- A track record at well-known brands or products - you've built and shipped software that real users depend on at scale.
- Working knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem: its data model, APIs and how modern applications integrate with it.
- Heroku and modern application stack experience - comfortable owning deployment, infrastructure, and the full stack.
- Fluency with AI concepts - you actively use AI tooling in your workflow and can reason about where LLMs, agents, and automation belong in a product.
- A founder-partner mindset: you want to start a product, not maintain one; you're energized by ambiguity and ownership.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across time zones with a US-based founder.

Bonus Points

- Prior experience as an early or founding engineer at a startup or new product line.
- Experience building on or alongside Salesforce (AppExchange, Heroku Connect, platform APIs).
- Experience integrating LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) into production applications.
- Experience in a founder-led, growth-stage firm.
