About EcoLivingEcoLiving is building India's modern Garden-as-a-Service and Outdoor Living brand.

We transform balconies, terraces, gardens, villas and outdoor spaces into beautiful, functional and living environments.

We are looking for a highly creative and experienced Senior Interior Designer who can lead the design function and create premium outdoor living experiences for urban homes, villas, farmhouses and commercial spaces.

This role requires a combination of strong design thinking, technical expertise, creativity and execution understanding.

Role OverviewThe Senior Interior Designer will be responsible for taking a project from concept to final execution, including space planning, design development, 3D visualisation, material selection, technical drawings and coordination with execution teams.

You will work closely with the founders, landscape designers, horticulturists, project managers, vendors and customers to create designs that are aesthetically strong, practical and commercially viable.

Key Responsibilities1. Design & Concept Development

- Develop innovative concepts for balconies, terraces, gardens, villas, farmhouses and outdoor living spaces.
- Create design concepts based on customer requirements, space, budget and lifestyle.
- Develop mood boards, material palettes, colour schemes and design themes.
- Create premium and contemporary design solutions.
- Convert empty or underutilised spaces into functional and aesthetically appealing environments.
- Continuously research new design trends, materials, furniture, lighting and outdoor products.

Space

Planning
- Analyse dimensions, layouts, sunlight, ventilation, accessibility and functionality.
- Prepare detailed space planning and furniture/plant layouts.
- Optimise small urban spaces such as balconies and terraces.
- Design spaces keeping maintenance, durability and usability in mind.
- Integrate plants, planters, furniture, lighting, flooring, walls and other outdoor elements.

Technical

DesignThe candidate must have strong technical knowledge and be able to independently prepare:
- Detailed floor plans
- Furniture layouts
- Planting layouts
- Elevations
- Sections




- Electrical layouts
- Lighting layouts
- Flooring layouts
- Ceiling / pergola details
- Planter details
- Fabrication drawings
- Joinery details
- Material specifications
- BOQ support and quantity understanding

4. 3D VisualisationAbility to create high-quality 3D designs and realistic renders is mandatory. The candidate should be proficient in relevant tools such as:

- AutoCAD
- SketchUp
- 3ds Max
- V-Ray / Corona
- Lumion / Enscape
- Photoshop
- Revit, preferred
- AI-based design and visualisation tools, preferred

The candidate should be able to take a customer's existing balcony, terrace or outdoor space and create a convincing before-and-after visualisation.

- Customer & Project Management
- Understand customer requirements and translate them into design solutions.
- Present concepts and designs to customers.
- Make design revisions based on feedback.
- Work with sales teams to understand customer budgets and expectations.
- Coordinate with project managers and execution teams.
- Conduct site visits when required.
- Ensure the final execution matches the approved design.

6. Vendor & Material Management
- Research and identify new materials and products.
- Work with vendors for furniture, planters, flooring, lighting, pergolas, décor and landscaping elements.
- Evaluate material quality, durability and cost.
- Coordinate with fabrication and installation teams.
- Maintain a strong understanding of market pricing and available materials.

Creative ExpectationsWe are looking for someone with a strong creative mindset, not someone who simply executes standard templates.

You should be able to:
- Think beyond conventional landscaping.
- Create Instagram-worthy spaces.
- Understand premium lifestyle aesthetics.
- Experiment with new materials and concepts.
- Design for different customer personalities and lifestyles.
- Combine architecture, interiors, landscaping and nature.
- Create designs that are beautiful but also commercially practical.

- Robust portfolio of residential / luxury / hospitality / outdoor projects
- Excellent design sense
- Strong understanding of materials and construction
- Excellent 3D visualisation skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Commercial understanding of design budgets
- Ability to manage vendors and execution teams

Experience in premium residential interiors, landscaping, hospitality, luxury villas, farmhouses, balconies, terraces or outdoor living will be highly preferred. What We Expect From YouYou will be one of the key people responsible for defining the design language of EcoLiving.

Customer Requirement → Concept → 3D Design → Technical Drawings → Material Selection → Execution → Final Handover with minimal supervision.
