Role Description The Senior Hedge Fund Accountant will manage the end-to-end accounting and reporting for hedge fund clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial statements, investor allocations, and NAV calculations. This full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Kolkata Area involves reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly fund valuations, reconciling positions with prime brokers and custodians, and monitoring cash activities and corporate actions. The role includes preparing management and regulatory reports, supporting audits, and maintaining robust internal controls and documentation.

Accountant will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, respond to client queries,



and contribute to process improvements and system enhancements. The individual will also help mentor junior team members and uphold Apex Group’s standards for quality, compliance, and client service.

Qualifications

- Strong hedge fund accounting expertise, including NAV calculations, investor allocations, and financial statement preparation.
- Solid understanding of financial instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX) and related valuation and reporting practices.
- Proficiency in reconciliation processes with prime brokers, custodians, and counterparties, and in resolving breaks efficiently.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with fund accounting or portfolio management systems.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, fund regulations, and compliance requirements in major financial markets.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail capabilities, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Transparent and professional written and verbal communication skills for interaction with clients, auditors, and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt to a dynamic environment.
- Prior experience in hedge fund administration or asset servicing at a senior or supervisory level.
- Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, CMA, ACCA, or a master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
