Black & Grey HR is working with a leading contracting company in the Middle East that is hiring for its design studio in Bangalore.

The Senior Fitout

Draftsman will be responsible for preparing detailed fit-out drawings, shop drawings, and construction documentation for commercial, hospitality, retail, and corporate interior projects. The role will work closely with architects, designers, project managers, and site teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of technical drawings for project execution.

Key Requirements

- Collaborate with architects, designers, and project managers to understand project requirements, design concepts, and fit-out objectives.
- Prepare detailed fit-out drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and construction documentation.
- Develop accurate 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other relevant drafting software.
- Review and interpret architectural, engineering, and design drawings to produce coordinated fit-out documentation.
- Incorporate design revisions and modifications into drawings as required throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare shop drawings, joinery details, material schedules, and related technical documentation.
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain technical information and ensure drawing accuracy.
- Conduct site visits to verify dimensions, gather measurements, and assess existing site conditions.




- Ensure all drawings comply with applicable building codes, regulations, industry standards, and project requirements.
- Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
- Support project teams with material take-offs, cost estimates, and construction-related documentation when required.
- Stay updated with the latest fit-out drafting techniques, software advancements, and industry best practices.

Requirements

- Associate's Diploma or higher qualification in Architectural Drafting, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
- 8–9 years of experience in fit-out drafting, preferably with international interior fit-out contractors or design-build companies.
- Solid proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other CAD software.
- Excellent understanding of architectural and construction drawing standards, codes, and regulations.
- Experience preparing detailed fit-out drawings, shop drawings, joinery drawings, and technical construction documentation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce highly accurate drawings and plans.
- Experience coordinating with architects, designers, production teams, contractors, and clients.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
