Role Description The Senior Electrical Engineer (Solar & BESS) will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and optimizing electrical systems for solar power plants and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Day-to-day tasks include preparing single line diagrams, cable sizing, relay setting and protection schemes, power distribution layouts; performing load flow and fault analysis; and ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and utility requirements. The role involves coordinating with project managers, civil and mechanical teams, EPC partners,



and vendors to support detailed engineering, procurement specifications, and in office commissioning activities.

The engineer will also conduct technical evaluations, review design documents, support tender preparation, and provide troubleshooting and performance improvement inputs for operational projects. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, with practical knowledge of electricity, electrical circuits, and power electronics relevant to solar and BESS projects.
- Proficiency in Electrical Design for solar power plants and battery energy storage systems, including single line diagrams, cable sizing, protection schemes, grounding, and layout planning.
- Experience in Power Systems analysis, including load flow, short-circuit analysis, grid interconnection studies, and system protection coordination.
- Knowledge of Power Distribution systems for utility-scale and C&I; solar projects, including switchgear, transformers, feeders, and panel board design.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in solar or renewable energy projects, preferably with utility-scale or large rooftop installations.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations (IEC, IS, IEEE, utility interconnection requirements) and safety practices in high-voltage environments.
