Role Description The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for leading the design and development of electrical systems and components for integrated technology solutions. Day-to-day activities include creating detailed electrical schematics, selecting components, and ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and compliance standards. The engineer will collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and project teams to integrate electrical designs into complete systems, provide technical guidance, and review designs prepared by junior engineers.





The role also involves overseeing power distribution layouts, performing calculations and simulations, preparing documentation, and supporting installation, testing, and troubleshooting activities at customer sites when required.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, with practical understanding of electricity and power systems.
- Proficiency in Electrical Design and Design Engineering for industrial or integrated system applications.
- Knowledge of Power Distribution design, protection, and coordination in low- and medium-voltage systems.
- Experience using electrical CAD and simulation tools, and familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in leading projects, mentoring junior engineers, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and safety.
- Ability to work in office in Chennai and occasionally visit customer or partner locations as project needs arise.
