Job Title Senior DevOps / SRE Engineer – Confluent Kafka Platform

Experience Required 6–9 Years

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong expertise in Linux administration, DevOps practices, SRE principles, and Confluent Kafka Platform management. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in platform reliability, incident management, vulnerability remediation, automation, and stakeholder communication.

The candidate should be capable of managing production-critical environments, leading technical teams, and ensuring platform stability through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and support Linux-based production environments with strong troubleshooting capabilities

Administer and maintain DevOps pipelines, CI/CD processes, and infrastructure reliability

Implement and follow SRE best practices including reliability engineering, error budget concepts, operational excellence, and service availability improvements

Perform regular patching, vulnerability remediation, and security compliance activities across environments

Manage and support Confluent Kafka Platform, including Kafka clusters,



brokers, topics, partitions, replication, performance tuning, and troubleshooting

Handle production incidents, major incident management, and provide timely updates to stakeholders during incident resolution

Lead incident troubleshooting bridges and coordinate with cross-functional teams for faster resolution

Prepare and present Incident Postmortem (RCA) documentation with preventive and corrective actions

Manage Change Management activities including pre-CAB reviews, CAB calls, implementation planning, and post-change validations

Required Skills

Solid Linux Administration experience

Strong DevOps and Infrastructure Operations background

Solid understanding of SRE principles and production reliability practices

Hands-on expertise with Confluent Kafka Platform

Strong knowledge of Incident Management and Major Incident handling

Experience in Vulnerability Management, Patching, and Security Fixes

Soft Skills

Strong communication and presentation skills

Excellent troubleshooting and analytical mindset

Ability to work under pressure during major incidents
