The Senior Consultant – SAP ABAP Gateway (OData) will be a key member of Bristlecone India's S4 HANA Technical – Delivery team. You will architect, develop, and maintain robust OData services and ABAP enhancements, ensure seamless integration across SAP modules, and provide expert production support for mission‑critical applications.

Responsibilities

- Design and develop SAP ABAP programs, enhancements, and OData services using SAP Gateway.
- Create, test, and deploy RESTful APIs for S/4HANA integration.
- Perform detailed debugging, root‑cause analysis, and resolution of production issues.
- Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Implement and maintain interfaces (IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs) and ensure data consistency.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce SAP best practices and coding standards.
- Provide on‑site and remote production support, including incident management and problem resolution.
- Optimize performance of ABAP objects and OData services through tuning and profiling.
- Prepare technical documentation, functional specifications, and knowledge transfer materials.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

- 10+ years of hands‑on SAP ABAP development experience.
- Strong expertise in SAP Gateway, OData, and S/4HANA architecture.
- Proven track record in designing, building, and supporting ABAP enhancements and interfaces.
- Deep knowledge of debugging tools, performance tuning, and production support processes.
- Experience with IDoc, BAPI, RFC, and ALE integration techniques.
- Solid understanding of SAP modules (FI, MM, SD, PP) and cross‑module data flows.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure.




- Effective communication skills in English; ability to interact with global teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant SAP certifications (e.g., ABAP, SAP Gateway, S/4HANA) are a plus.
