Key Responsibilities
Fund Accounting &
- NAV Oversight
- Plan, schedule, and manage daily workflows for all client deliverables.
- Review, prepare, and reconcile NAVs for AIF Category II funds on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Finalize month-end NAVs and prepare investor allocation reports.
- Review and oversee booking of journal entries, management fees, performance fees, financing accruals, and fund expenses.
- Ensure accurate valuation of investments across various asset classes.
- Handle capital activities including subscriptions, redemptions, drawdowns, and distributions.
- Review portfolio pricing in line with SEBI and IFSCA guidelines and analyze valuation exceptions.
Client Service &
- Reporting
- Maintain effective communication with clients regarding NAV reporting, estimates, and query resolution.
- Prepare and review financial statements, investor reports, and ad hoc reporting requirements.
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality client service and adherence to agreed service levels.
Regulatory &
- Compliance Management
- Ensure compliance with applicable SEBI and IFSCA regulations for close-ended funds.
- Support regulatory reporting requirements and fund audits.
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and other regulatory filings.
Process Improvement &
- Operational Excellence
- Develop and maintain process checklists to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Support automation initiatives, work migrations, system conversions, and other strategic projects.
- Drive best practices and standardization across fund accounting processes.
Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor fund accounting team members.
- Conduct performance reviews and support employee development initiatives.
- Ensure effective resource allocation and workload management.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
Required Skills &
- Experience
Technical Expertise
- Strong experience in Alternative Investment Funds (AIF Category II) and GIFT Fund structures.
- In-depth understanding of:
- Fund Accounting
- NAV Calculation
- Performance Fee Calculation
- Management Fee Calculation
- Equalization Accounting
- Series Accounting
- Waterfall Models
- Expertise in valuation of:
- Equities
- Derivatives
- Debt Instruments
- Bonds
- Debentures
- Unlisted Securities
- Good understanding of SEBI and IFSCA regulatory requirements.
Systems &
- Tools
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Experience with fund accounting platforms such as:
- Efront
- Allvue
- Paxus
- Strong understanding of General Ledger Accounting and financial controls.
Qualifications
- CA / MBA (Finance) / M.Com / CFA or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant experience in Fund Administration, Fund Accounting, or Alternative Investments.
