Senior AI/ML Engineer – Agentic Systems & Platforms
? Location: Remote / Hybrid — Nepal / India
? Type: Full time
About the Role
We're looking for an exceptional Senior AI/ML Engineer to lead the architecture, development, and deployment of cutting-edge agentic AI systems designed to transform the patient journey. In this role, you'll work at the frontier of AI — moving beyond static LLM wrappers to build autonomous, multi-agent workflows and high-impact platforms that directly improve healthcare outcomes.
You won't just build core agents to automate and assist complex healthcare workflows — you'll also architect the core infrastructure that lets internal teams and users design, curate, and deploy their own custom agents safely at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect & Deploy Agentic Systems — Design, build, and deploy production-grade multi-agent architectures (ReAct, plan-and-execute, tool-augmented reasoning, stateful multi-agent collaboration) to enhance the patient healthcare experience.
- Build User-Facing Agent Platforms — Drive the engineering of workflow orchestration tools that empower non-engineers and domain experts to build, curate, test, and deploy custom AI agents.
- Systems & API Design — Architect resilient, low-latency microservices and pipelines integrating foundation models with internal systems, vector databases, and external data sources.
- Drive LLMOps & Observability — Implement evaluation, benchmarking, guardrail, and tracing pipelines (agentic execution, hallucination rates, tool usage accuracy, cost/latency tradeoffs).
- AI Safety & Compliance — Ensure all AI systems adhere to the highest standards of safety, determinism, data privacy, and security in a sensitive healthcare context.
- Technical Leadership — Benchmark and integrate state-of-the-art open-source and proprietary models, staying ahead of advances in foundation models, function calling, and context window optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- ✅ 8–10+ years of professional software engineering experience building scalable, distributed systems in production
- ✅ 5+ years developing, fine-tuning, and deploying ML models, with 2+ years focused on LLMs, generative AI, and agentic frameworks
- ✅ Hands-on experience with modern agent orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, LlamaIndex, or custom in-house agentic engines)
- ✅ Strong proficiency in Python and modern backend architectures (FastAPI, Rust, Go, microservices, event-driven, async processing)
- ✅ Deep expertise with vector databases (Qdrant, Pinecone, Weaviate), hybrid search, semantic caching, and dynamic context/memory management
- ✅ Proven experience building evaluation frameworks (Ragas, TruLens, Braintrust, LangSmith) to measure agent performance, accuracy, and latency
Preferred Qualifications
- ➕ Healthcare domain knowledge (Claims Data or related healthcare data standards) — a plus, not required
- ➕ Prior experience building low-code/no-code workflow builders, developer tools, or extensible SDKs/APIs
What Sets Our Top Candidates Apart
- ? Pragmatic Systems Engineering over "Prompt Hacking" — you treat LLM outputs as non-deterministic components within a well-engineered, deterministic system, and know when not to use an LLM.
- ? Obsession with Evals & Metrics — no shipping on "vibe checks"; you build rigorous regression suites, synthetic evaluation pipelines, and automated guardrails before calling a feature done.
- ? Product & User Mindset — you understand how latency, UI responsiveness, and agent transparency directly affect patient trust.
- ? Architectural Flexibility — you build modular, provider-agnostic infrastructure that can swap models, APIs, and frameworks without rewriting core logic.
? Before You Apply — Please Read Carefully
- Make sure you meet the required qualifications above (especially the 8–10+ years overall and 5+ years AI/ML experience) before applying — applications that clearly don't meet these will not move forward.
- Apply either through LinkedIn or by emailing your CV to
[email protected] with the subject line: "Senior AI/ML Engineer – Agentic Systems & Platforms." Please don't submit both.
- When emailing, include:
- Relevant AI/ML project details
- GitHub/portfolio links (if available)
- Current location
- Availability to join
- Incomplete applications (missing the above details) may delay review.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the next stage.
