We are seeking an experienced SAP TM (Transportation Management) Consultant with 5–10 years of overall SAP logistics/supply chain experience to design, implement, and support SAP Transportation Management solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong functional expertise in transportation and logistics processes with hands-on configuration skills across embedded TM in SAP S/4HANA (and/or standalone SAP TM). This role spans implementation, rollout, and Application Management Services (AMS) engagements, working closely with business stakeholders, logistics teams, integration/technical resources, and carriers.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and support end-to-end SAP TM implementations and rollouts — from requirements gathering and blueprinting to configuration, testing, go-live, and hypercare.
- Configure core SAP TM building blocks: Freight Order Management, Freight Unit Building (FUB), transportation planning, carrier selection, freight settlement, and charge calculation.
- Design and configure transportation cockpit, planning profiles, optimizer/VSR (Vehicle Scheduling & Routing), and manual/automatic planning strategies.
- Set up charge management, freight agreements, rate tables, and freight settlement documents (FSD); integrate with FI/CO for accruals and invoice verification.
- Configure master data: transportation network, locations, lanes, means of transport, resources, and business partners (carriers).
- Manage integration between SAP TM and S/4HANA/ERP logistics (SD/MM/LE), EWM, and external partners via EDI/IDoc, OData, and SAP Cloud Integration / PI-PO where applicable.
- Support order-to-cash and procure-to-pay transportation flows, including delivery-based and order-based transportation requirements.
- Perform functional unit, integration, and regression testing; prepare and execute test scripts and support UAT.
- Provide AMS / production support: incident and problem management, root-cause analysis, enhancement handling,



and adherence to SLAs.
- Prepare functional specifications for RICEFW objects and collaborate with ABAP developers on enhancements, BAdIs, and custom reports.
- Conduct end-user training, knowledge transfer, and documentation (functional design documents, configuration workbooks, runbooks).
- Advise on best practices, clean-core/upgrade-protected approaches, and new SAP TM capabilities across releases.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- SAP experience with a minimum of 5 years hands-on in SAP TM (embedded TM on S/4HANA and/or SAP TM standalone).
- Strong functional knowledge of transportation planning, freight order/booking management, carrier selection, and freight settlement/charge management.
- Hands-on SAP TM configuration experience across freight order management, planning, and charge/settlement.
- Solid understanding of logistics execution and integration with SD, MM, LE, and EWM.
- Experience with TM integration (IDoc/EDI, Odata, PPF/output management) and interfaces to carriers/3PLs.
- Understanding of master data for TM (network, lanes, resources, means of transport, business partners).
- Ability to write functional specifications and work effectively with technical/ABAP teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have :

- SAP TM Certification (SAP Certified Application Associate/Professional – Transportation Management).
- Experience with embedded TM in S/4HANA (latest releases) and migration from SAP TM standalone to embedded TM.
- Exposure to SAP EWM and advanced shipping/logistics integration scenarios.
- Knowledge of transportation optimizer, VSR, and complex planning scenarios.
- Familiarity with SAP BTP / integration suite, Fiori apps for TM, and analytics.
- Experience in AMS / managed services and Agile delivery environments.
- Domain experience in manufacturing, retail, logistics/3PL, automotive, or CPG.
