- Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP HANA Infrastructure Lead with deep expertise in SAP Business One on HANA and SAP S/4HANA environments. This is a pure infrastructure lead role – not functional, not developer. The ideal candidate will have end-to-end project experience across multiple SAP Business One implementations, migrations, and upgrades, along with strong hands-on experience in SUSE Linux, HANA database administration, performance troubleshooting, and cloud infrastructure.

You will be the technical authority responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the entire SAP HANA infrastructure landscape, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and security compliance.

- Key ResponsibilitiesSAP Business One on HANA –
- Infrastructure Leadership

- ✅
- Lead end-to-end SAP Business One on HANA implementations, upgrades, and migrations
- ✅
- Design and manage SAP Business One infrastructure including App servers, HANA Linux Servers, and database layers
- ✅
- Plan and execute system refreshes, client copies, and landscape management for B1 environments
- ✅
- Ensure seamless integration between SAP Business One and other enterprise systems
- ✅
- Manage SAP Business One add-ons, Crystal Reports, and third-party integrations

SAP S/4HANA &
- HANA Database Administration

- ✅
- Administer SAP S/4HANA environments including Live CP, VP, and DB servers
- ✅
- Perform HANA database installation, configuration, patching, and revision upgrades
- ✅
- Manage HANA System Replication (HSR) for high availability and disaster recovery
- ✅
- Configure and monitor HANA Multitenant Database Containers (MDC)
- ✅
- Handle HANA backup and recovery strategies including point-in-time recovery
- ✅
- Manage HANA security – users, roles, privileges, and audit logging

SUSE Linux &
- Infrastructure Management

- ✅
- Expert-level administration of SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) for SAP applications
- ✅
- Perform kernel tuning using sapconf / saptune
- ✅
- Manage file systems, LVM, and storage configurations for optimal HANA performance
- ✅
- Monitor and optimize OS-level parameters –
- CPU, memory, disk I/O, and network
- ✅
- Automate system maintenance tasks using shell scripting, Ansible, or Terraform

Performance Troubleshooting
- ✅
- Proactively monitor system performance using HANA Studio, HANA Cockpit,



and Linux tools
- ✅
- Analyze expensive statements, memory dumps (OOM), and CPU spikes
- ✅
- Troubleshoot ABAP dumps, system logs, update errors, and lock entries
- ✅
- Optimize profile parameters and HANA configuration for peak performance
- ✅
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents

Cloud &
- Migration Projects

- ✅
- Lead end-to-end cloud migrations (AWS/Azure/GCP) for SAP HANA landscapes
- ✅
- Execute OS/DB migrations using SUM DMO and SWPM
- ✅
- Manage SAP RISE environments and coordinate with SAP ECS teams
- ✅
- Design and implement Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies with regular DR drills
- ✅
- Configure SAP BTP, Cloud Connector, and integration suite for hybrid landscapes

Security &
- Compliance

- ✅
- Implement SSL, SNC, and SSO configurations for ABAP and JAVA systems
- ✅
- Manage SAP GRC – role design, authorization management, and SOD compliance
- ✅
- Ensure compliance with CIS/NIST benchmarks and SOX/Internal Audit requirements
- ✅
- Apply SAP security notes and manage vulnerability assessments

Leadership &
- Team Management

- ✅
- Lead and mentor SAP Basis / HANA infrastructure teams
- ✅
- Coordinate with global stakeholders – onsite teams, functional consultants, and clients
- ✅
- Provide 24x7 production support for mission-critical SAP environments
- ✅
- Manage incident, problem, and change management processes
- ✅
- Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and RCA reports
