Role Description The Sales Application Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, focused on supporting the sale and application of Sahara Industry’s water treatment solutions. This role involves engaging with prospective and existing customers to understand their technical and commercial requirements, preparing proposals, and recommending appropriate equipment and systems.

The Sales Application

Engineer will collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure technical feasibility, accurate sizing, and cost-effective configurations. Daily responsibilities include conducting technical presentations, responding to inquiries, providing pre-sales and post-sales technical support, and maintaining detailed records of opportunities, quotations, and customer interactions.



The role also includes occasional site visits for assessments, installation support, and performance reviews, as well as contributing feedback to improve products and sales tools.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust Sales Engineering and Sales skills, with experience in solution selling or industrial equipment sales.
- Candidates should possess Technical Support skills, including troubleshooting, customer training, and handling technical queries.
- Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering skills relevant to industrial systems, controls, and power requirements.
- Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering skills related to pumps, piping, treatment equipment, and system design.
- Relevant experience in water or wastewater treatment, process industries, or environmental engineering is highly beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in preparing technical proposals and reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field) or equivalent technical qualification.
- Comfort working on-site with customers and project teams in industrial environments, and willingness to travel as required.
