- Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations applicable to chemical industries.
- Implement and monitor EHS policies, SOPs and safe operating procedures.
- Conduct HIRA, JSA and safety audits for chemical processes and operations.
- Monitor handling, storage and disposal of hazardous chemicals.
- Enforce Permit to Work systems (hot work, confined space, LOTO, work at height).
- Ensure availability and proper use of PPE, MSDS and emergency equipment.
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks and periodic training for employees and contractors.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses; prepare reports and root cause analysis.
- Coordinate emergency response plans, mock drills and fire safety activities.
- Maintain safety records, registers and statutory compliance documentation.
- Support internal and external safety audits and inspections by authorities.
