Job Overview

LinguaPlanet is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Russian Language Proofreader and Translator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in translation, proofreading, and linguistic quality assurance, ensuring all content is accurate, culturally appropriate, and professionally polished.

Key Responsibilities

- Translate documents, articles, educational materials, business communications, and other content between Russian and English.
- Proofread and edit Russian content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, and consistency.
- Ensure translations accurately reflect the original meaning, tone, and intent.
- Review translated content for linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance.
- Maintain consistency in terminology and language usage across projects.
- Deliver high-quality work within project deadlines.

Requirements




- Native or near-native proficiency in Russian.
- Proven experience in translation and proofreading.
- Solid command of both Russian and English.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments effectively.

Preferred Qualifications
- Valid TORFL, B2, C1, or equivalent Russian language certification from a recognized institution (mandatory).
- Prior experience in localization, content review, or language services.
- Experience handling professional, academic, technical, or corporate content.
- Familiarity with CAT tools and translation software is an added advantage.
