Role Description The Research Volunteer internship is a remote role that supports Digistall’s mission by gathering and analyzing information related to rural markets, user needs, and e-commerce trends. Day-to-day tasks include conducting online and phone-based research, compiling data on rural consumer behavior, and identifying barriers to digital adoption. The volunteer will prepare concise reports, summaries, and presentations for internal use, and help develop simple research tools such as surveys or interview guides.





The role may also involve mapping existing digital initiatives, reviewing relevant literature or case studies, and suggesting practical recommendations that can inform product design and outreach strategies. This internship offers exposure to social impact work, digital commerce, and grassroots development.

Qualifications

- Strong research skills, including data collection, information synthesis, and basic analysis.
- Ability to write clear, concise summaries and reports in English.
- Comfort with digital tools such as spreadsheets, online survey platforms, and video conferencing.
- Interest in rural development, social impact, digital inclusion, or e-commerce.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate remotely with diverse teams.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage time effectively in a remote internship setting.
- Relevant academic background (e.g., social sciences, development studies, business, or related fields) is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Previous volunteer or project experience in community work, research, or internships is a plus.
