Role Description The Relay Testing Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Navi Mumbai. This role involves planning, executing, and documenting relay protection testing activities for substations and electrical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. The engineer will prepare and review test plans, test cases, and procedures, and perform functional testing of protection relays, control circuits, and associated equipment.

Responsibilities include analyzing test results, troubleshooting issues, coordinating with project and maintenance teams, and providing technical reports and recommendations. The role may also involve supporting commissioning activities,



ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining accurate records of all testing and calibration work.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Test Engineering, including planning and oversight of relay and protection system tests.
- Hands-on experience in Test Execution and working with structured Test Cases for electrical protection devices.
- Proficiency in Testing and Functional Testing of power system protection relays, control panels, and related equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of power system protection principles, relay coordination, and relevant IEC/IS standards.
- Ability to interpret single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with common relay testing tools and software (e.g., Omicron, Megger or similar platforms).
- Solid attention to detail, safety-focused mindset, and ability to work on-site at substations and industrial facilities.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Prior experience in EPC, commissioning, or maintenance of substations or renewable energy projects is an advantage.
