About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GCP-qualified Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team at Luxoft. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the migration and deployment of critical financial applications within the Fixed Income and Currencies (FIC) domain as part of Project Cirrus. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, migrate, and optimize cloud-based solutions on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and adherence to regulatory compliance standards.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, support, and business stakeholders, to deliver robust and scalable cloud infrastructure. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a strategic initiative aimed at transforming banking operations through innovative cloud solutions while gaining exposure to the financial services sector and advanced cloud technologies.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cloud engineering, with at least 9 years of experience in UI development and a minimum of 3 years in core Java and Spring Framework development. Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform services, Terraform, and up-to-date web technologies is essential.



Candidates should have excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken, and demonstrate a passion for continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

Experience working within an agile environment and familiarity with financial services or banking domains will be advantageous. A solid understanding of web fundamentals, relational databases, and RESTful APIs is required. Candidates with knowledge of Java 8, 11, and 17 features, as well as experience with Java Spring, will stand out.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate as part of an Agile delivery team to understand requirements, analyze user stories, and contribute to solution design, implementation, and testing.
- Develop modular, high-performance applications and frameworks that are thoroughly tested, well-documented, and aligned with current UI development best practices.
- Build testable software with comprehensive unit and end-to-end test suites to ensure product quality and facilitate confident refactoring by team members.
- Create reusable, generic code solutions where existing options are unavailable, ensuring code is modular, tested, documented, and easily integrable by other developers.
- Mentor junior developers, promote best practices in development, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of web fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and leverage modern frameworks like React, Typescript, and Redux to develop engaging user interfaces.
- Build and maintain comprehensive test suites using tools such as Puppeteer, Jest, and Enzyme for React applications.
- Utilize common NPM libraries such as ag-grid,



Axios, moment, and lodash to enhance application functionality.
- Design and implement solutions adhering to REST principles, WebSocket communication, and relational database interactions.
- Work within an agile workplace, practicing Scrum, Kanban, XP, or SAFe methodologies to ensure timely delivery and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with backend teams, leveraging your knowledge of Java platforms like Spring to facilitate seamless integration between front-end and back-end components.
