About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Quality Engineer I to join our dynamic quality engineering team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions across multiple platforms, including Salesforce and microservices architectures. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in test automation, API testing, and enterprise platform testing, with a passion for innovation and excellence.

The Senior Quality Engineer I will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks. They will be responsible for designing test strategies, executing tests, analyzing results, and providing actionable insights to improve product quality. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of modern testing tools and methodologies.





This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to Marriott’s technological advancements, supporting the development of scalable, reliable, and innovative solutions that enhance the guest experience worldwide. The role is based in Hyderabad, India, with a hybrid work mode, allowing flexibility in working arrangements.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 4+ years of experience in software testing and automation, with a proven track record in enterprise-level testing environments. A strong understanding of Salesforce testing, including declarative and programmatic components, is essential.

Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems testing strategies is required.

Proficiency in test automation tools such as TOSCA, Postman, Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, and JMeter is critical. The candidate should have hands-on programming skills in languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript, and familiarity with version control systems such as Git. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience/certification, is necessary.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for quality assurance are vital.

Certifications in automation testing or related fields will be considered an advantage. The candidate should be comfortable working in Agile environments and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement automated test frameworks for Salesforce applications, including UI, API, and end-to-end testing scenarios.
- Develop and execute automated tests for microservices-based architectures, ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance standards.
- Utilize TOSCA for model-based test automation, including test case creation, execution, and maintenance to ensure comprehensive test coverage.




- Perform API testing using Postman, validating service contracts, data flows, and integration points to ensure seamless system interactions.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA analysts to define test strategies, review requirements, and ensure quality standards are met.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps, enabling continuous testing and deployment.
- Monitor test executions, analyze failures, and provide detailed reports and feedback to development teams for quick resolution.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
