Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan, Inspection and Test Plans, quality procedures, checklists and method statements.
2. Review contractors’ QA/QC plans, method statements, material submittals, shop drawings and technical documents.
3. Inspect civil, structural, architectural, finishing and MEP works at different stages of execution.
4. Ensure that all construction activities comply with approved drawings, BOQ specifications, contract requirements, relevant IS codes and statutory regulations.
5. Conduct incoming material inspections and verify manufacturers’ test certificates, warranties, approved makes and technical specifications.
6. Witness field and laboratory tests for concrete, reinforcement steel, soil, waterproofing, structural works, electrical systems, plumbing, firefighting,
HVAC and other project-related works.
7. Monitor concrete activities, including reinforcement checks, shuttering inspection, pre-pour clearance, slump tests, cube testing and concrete records.
8. Issue Site Observation Reports and Non-Conformance Reports for defective or non-compliant work and follow up until satisfactory closure.
9. Identify quality risks and recommend corrective and preventive actions to avoid rework, delays and additional costs.
10. Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, contractors, consultants and client representatives on all quality-related matters.
11. Conduct regular quality audits of construction activities, contractor documentation, storage areas and testing procedures.
12. Maintain complete quality records, including inspection requests, material inspection reports, test reports, approvals, calibration certificates, NCRs and closure reports.
13. Verify the calibration status of testing and measuring equipment used at the project site.
14. Participate in project review meetings and present quality performance, pending approvals, major observations and NCR status.
15. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly QA/QC reports for submission to the PMC management and client.

Conduct snagging and de-snagging inspections and ensure rectification before project handover.
17. Review as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, test certificates and handover documentation.
18. Support testing, commissioning, final inspections and successful project closeout.
Qualification and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
2. Minimum 10 years of relevant QA/QC experience, including significant experience with a PMC, engineering consultancy or client-side project management team.
3. Strong knowledge of applicable IS codes, NBC requirements, project specifications, construction practices and quality management systems.
4. Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements is preferred.
5. Experience in industrial buildings, manufacturing facilities, PEB structures, RCC works, finishing works and MEP services will be an advantage.
6. Ability to interpret drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, contracts and approved method statements.
7. Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, quality documentation and project reporting systems.
