Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Software Testing Engineer with a strong focus on mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manual testing, particularly in mobile environments, and will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our mobile applications. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work collaboratively within a team to deliver high-quality software products.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test cases for mobile applications.
- Perform manual testing on various mobile platforms (iOS, Android).
- Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback.
- Participate in test planning and strategy discussions.
- Conduct regression testing and ensure that new features do not adversely affect existing functionality.
- Provide detailed reports on testing progress and results.
- Stay updated with the latest testing tools and methodologies.
Mandatory Skills
- Proven experience in manual testing of mobile applications.
- Robust understanding of mobile testing frameworks and tools.
- Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with automated testing tools for mobile applications.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with performance testing and security testing for mobile apps.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications in software testing are a plus.
