Cloud Reboot Inc. is a US-based cloud consulting and IT services firm building an AI-first delivery practice on Azure, delivers data platform modernization, cloud optimization, and AI engagements for US enterprise clients.
- The Engagement

You will join the delivery team for a UK-based mobility/transportation client engagement migrating an Azure Synapse analytics estate to a governed Databricks Lakehouse — Medallion Architecture, Unity Catalog, secure landing zone. Remote (India), minimum 3–4 hours daily overlap with US Eastern Time.
- Key Responsibilities

• Build and run automated data validation: row counts, checksums, aggregate measures, business-metric parity vs the Synapse baseline.
- Enforce the 99%+ reconciliation gate for the pipelines; co-own the testing runbook.
- Prove the DQ framework with the Senior Data Engineers on the data sources.
- Future phases:



full reconciliation across all migrated pipelines, UAT coordination, regression through the Blue-Green parallel run.

- Must-Have

• 3+ years QA with a strong data-testing focus (not just UI/API testing).
- SQL fluency;

experience validating ETL/ELT migrations; test automation scripting (Python preferred).

- Fluent English and stakeholder-facing confidence; ET overlap required.

- Nice to Have

• Databricks/Spark exposure; Excellent Expectations or similar DQ tooling; BI report validation.
