Role Description The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately based on prescriptions, verifying dosages, and checking for potential drug interactions. Day-to-day tasks include counseling patients on proper medication use, side effects, and storage, as well as maintaining detailed records of prescriptions and inventory. The role also involves coordinating with physicians and nursing staff to clarify prescriptions, support treatment plans, and ensure safe medication practices.
The Pharmacist will oversee stock management, including ordering, storing, and monitoring expiration dates, while complying with all regulatory and hospital standards. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Bengaluru Area.
Responsibilities
- Dispense medicines accurately as prescribed by doctors.
- Maintain daily cash collections and pharmacy transaction records.
- Keep accurate accounts of pharmacy sales and expenses.
- Monitor medicine stock and regularly check availability.
- Identify medicines that are running low or out of stock.
- Inform the Chief Doctor promptly about medicines that need to be reordered.
- Maintain proper records of medicines received, issued, and remaining in stock.
- Ensure the pharmacy is organized and medicines are stored appropriately.
- Provide basic guidance to patients regarding prescribed medicines and their usage.
- Maintain a clean, professional, and patient-friendly pharmacy environment.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (D.Pharm/B.Pharm).
- Valid registration as a pharmacist.
- Positive knowledge of medicines and prescription handling.
- Basic accounting and cash-handling skills.
- Good organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Responsible, trustworthy, and attentive to detail.
- Good communication skills and a patient-friendly attitude.
What We’re Looking ForSomeone who can independently manage the pharmacy, maintain accurate accounts, keep track of medicine stock, and proactively communicate shortages to the Chief Doctor.
