Role Description The Operator role at Britannia Industries Limited in the Pune Division is a full time, on-site position within the manufacturing and production function. The Operator will be responsible for running and monitoring production machinery, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and hygiene standards at all times. Daily tasks include setting up equipment, checking raw materials, handling basic machine maintenance, and promptly reporting any deviations or breakdowns to supervisors.





The role involves following standard operating procedures, maintaining accurate production records, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with team members to meet production targets. The Operator may also assist in line changeovers, packaging, and housekeeping to ensure an efficient and clean work environment.

Qualifications

- Sound understanding of basic manufacturing processes and ability to operate production machinery safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of quality checks, food safety, and hygiene practices in a food manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures and production instructions accurately.
- Basic troubleshooting skills to identify and report equipment issues, and support preventive maintenance activities.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to meeting production targets and deadlines.
- Effective teamwork skills, including clear communication with supervisors and colleagues on the shop floor.
- Willingness to work in shifts and in a fast-paced, physically active plant environment.
- Minimum educational qualification typically at the high school or vocational level; prior experience in FMCG or food manufacturing is an advantage.
