Job Summary

OpenShift / Kubernetes Engineer

We are looking for an experienced OpenShift / Kubernetes Engineer with a strong background in OpenShift deployment, integration, upgrades, Linux administration, and bare-metal infrastructure. The candidate should have a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes/Red Hat, OpenShift, and Linux, preferably within the Telecom domain.

Mandatory Skills

- Minimum 4 years of OpenShift experience.
- Minimum 4 years of Kubernetes / Red Hat experience.
- Minimum 4 years of Linux experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in OpenShift deployment and integration.
- Experience in OpenShift cluster upgrades and version-to-version migration.
- Telecom domain experience is mandatory.
- Willingness to work continuous night shifts from Gurgaon / Noida office.

Key Responsibilities OpenShift Deployment &

- Installation

- Install, configure, and deploy OpenShift clusters on bare-metal infrastructure.
- Use OpenShift installation tools to provision clusters across physical servers.
- Configure control plane, worker nodes, networking, policies, and cluster components.
- Perform OpenShift deployment, integration, and environment configuration.

Bare-Metal Infrastructure

- Assess and prepare physical servers for OpenShift deployment.
- Configure networking, disk partitioning, BIOS settings, and server prerequisites.




- Provision and configure bare-metal hosts for cluster deployment.
- Work with Bare Metal Operator (BMO) to monitor and manage bare-metal hosts.

OpenShift Upgrade &

- Migration

- Perform OpenShift version upgrades and migrations.
- Understand version-specific changes, deprecated features, and new requirements.
- Execute upgrades across OpenShift environments while maintaining cluster stability.
- Troubleshoot issues encountered during upgrades and migrations.

Network Integration

- Configure connectivity between OpenShift cluster nodes and external networks.
- Work with load balancers and ingress controllers.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity and integration issues.
- Apply Linux networking concepts for OpenShift environments.

Troubleshooting &

- Production Support

- Troubleshoot OpenShift cluster, deployment, networking, hardware, and infrastructure issues.
- Analyze cluster stability and resolve deployment failures.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Provide production support during continuous night shifts.
