Working Timing: 8:20 Am To 5:30 Pm

Research Assistant – Global Preclinical & Product Safety (GPPS)

Purpose The purpose of the position is to provide support in preclinical toxicology and pharmacology by working with a senior toxicologist/pharmacologist. The responsibilities include conducting literature searches, reviews, and determining exposure limits.

Responsibilities

- Conducting literature searches for preclinical pharmacology/toxicology information from internal and external sources, and evaluating the implications of the findings for Abbott products
- Updating and maintaining the chemical safety limits database
- Maintaining the compound categorization database
- Support in deriving ADE/PDE levels for Abbott products
- Performing any other necessary department documentation activities




- Providing assistance to senior toxicology personnel with complex analyses.

Technical Skills required

- Ability to follow instructions and protocols
- Ability to absorb and manage detailed information
- Computer literacy using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to impart and obtain information clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing

- Ability to relate appropriately to others and work as part of a team
- Willingness to undertake any necessary training for the role
- Ability to exercise initiative

Education Qualification

- Master’s degree (MVSc/M Pharm/ or PhD fresher)
