Job Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Functional Developer to join our Managed Services team supporting a global medical device manufacturer. This role is responsible for the functional analysis, design, configuration, testing, and support of a highly customized Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O;) environment.

The successful candidate will serve as the functional lead for production support and enhancement activities, working closely with business stakeholders, technical developers, infrastructure teams, and third-party vendors. This individual will manage incidents, service requests, and enhancements through ServiceNow while leveraging Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS) to maintain application health, deploy updates, and support release management.

This is a customer-facing role requiring excellent communication skills, strong business process knowledge, and the ability to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Support & Managed Services

Provide Level 2 and Level 3 functional support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

Analyze, prioritize, and resolve incidents and service requests within established SLAs.

Perform root cause analysis for recurring production issues.

Collaborate with business users to understand requirements and recommend functional solutions.

Document functional specifications for enhancements and customizations.

Validate solutions prior to deployment into production.

ServiceNow Ticket Management

Manage assigned incidents, problems, changes, and enhancement requests through ServiceNow.

Perform functional triage and impact assessments.

Coordinate with technical developers and infrastructure teams to resolve complex issues.

Maintain accurate documentation, status updates,



and resolution notes.

Participate in CAB meetings and change management processes.

Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS)

Utilize Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS) to support application lifecycle management.

Monitor environment health and system diagnostics.

Support code deployments and release management activities.

Coordinate issue tracking and solution validation through LCS.

Assist with environment management, servicing updates, and Microsoft hotfix implementation.

Leverage LCS tools for impact analysis, issue search, and deployment planning.

Functional Development & Enhancement

Design functional solutions within a highly customized D365 Finance & Operations environment.

Prepare detailed functional design documents (FDDs).

Collaborate with technical developers on customizations and integrations.

Support unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Identify opportunities to simplify customizations and improve maintainability.

Business Partnership

Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders.

Provide functional guidance and best practices.

Participate in roadmap discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Recommend process improvements aligned with Microsoft best practices.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or Dynamics AX.





Experience supporting ERP applications within a Managed Services or Application Management Services (AMS) environment.

Strong understanding of Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS).

Experience working within ServiceNow for incident, problem, change, and enhancement management.

Experience supporting highly customized ERP environments.

Experience supporting Medical Device, Healthcare, or Life Sciences organizations.

Knowledge of FDA-regulated environments and validation practices.

Experience with Azure DevOps.

Familiarity with Power Platform.

Experience supporting integrations using APIs and middleware platforms.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations certifications.
